Forvis Mazars Group, a global leader in audit, tax, and consulting services, has unveiled a revamped governance model designed to drive sustainable growth and enhance the organization’s agility. Central to this transformation is the establishment of the Group Governing Board (GGB), a 15-member body tasked with shaping strategy and overseeing key challenges. Among the newly elected members is Abdou Diop, Managing Partner of Forvis Mazars Morocco, chosen during the Group’s General Assembly of Partners.
Abdou Diop’s election marks the first time a Moroccan Managing Partner has been represented on the Group’s highest governing body. This significant milestone reflects the trust placed in his leadership and his ability to contribute to Forvis Mazars’ global transformation while aligning local and international objectives.
Over the years, Abdou Diop has demonstrated visionary leadership, deep expertise, and an exceptional ability to drive growth and innovation. His strategic management has cemented Forvis Mazars’ position in Morocco and across Africa, bolstering its influence on the global stage.
In his new role on the GGB, Abdou Diop will play a pivotal part in crafting the company’s global strategies, refining governance priorities, and steering long-term projects that will shape Forvis Mazars’ future in over 100 countries.
Expressing his pride in this new responsibility, Abdou Diop stated: “This election as a member of the Group Governing Board is a tremendous honor. For the first time in the history of the firm, Morocco and its Managing Partner are represented at the highest level of the Group’s governance. This recognition reflects years of both individual and collective effort. Our commitment to leadership, innovation, and client proximity has set us apart, enhancing our local and continental expertise while adhering to the highest standards of excellence within the network.”
Complementing the GGB, the newly established Group Executive Committee (GEC) will handle the implementation of decisions and the day-to-day execution of the Group’s strategy. Hervé Hélias will lead the GGB as its President, while Pascal Jauffret takes on the role of CEO, overseeing the GEC.
These governance changes align with Forvis Mazars’ ambitions to foster business growth, strengthen operational integrity, and solidify its position as one of the top 10 global firms in its sector.
Hervé Hélias emphasized the significance of this new governance framework, stating: “Responsibility is one of our core values. As we’ve expanded and solidified our operations, we recognized the need to evolve our governance structure. This transformation will enable us to strengthen our partnership and remain a resilient leader in the markets and communities we serve.”
