Moroccan healthcare group Akdital is growing its presence in Saudi Arabia with a new hospital project in Jeddah. The company has signed a deal to equip and manage Aladwani Hospital, a private hospital that has already been built in the city.
Akdital will be responsible for fitting out the hospital, installing medical equipment and running its day-to-day operations. The company said the facility will follow international standards for quality and patient safety.
Located in central Jeddah, Aladwani Hospital will have up to 120 beds and offer a range of medical and surgical services. It is expected to open in the first three months of 2027.
The project brings Akdital’s total number of healthcare projects in Saudi Arabia to four. The group is already involved in two hospitals in Riyadh and another medical facility in Mecca.
The expansion is part of Akdital’s wider international growth plan. The company wants to reach 2,000 beds outside Morocco by 2030 through a mix of new projects and acquisitions. It is also aiming to build a network of 15 hospitals abroad and generate 5 billion dirhams in international revenue by the end of the decade.
Saudi Arabia has been encouraging private and foreign investment in healthcare as part of its Vision 2030 economic reform programme.
Akdital says the new hospital will help meet the healthcare needs of both Jeddah residents and the large number of visitors who travel to the city each year.
The company is backing its international ambitions with strong growth at home. In 2025, Akdital reported revenue of 4.41 billion dirhams, up 49% from the previous year.
It currently operates 41 hospitals in 24 cities across Morocco, with a total capacity of 4,505 beds.
