Akdital kicks off construction of high-tech hospital in Dubai

Akdital is taking a major step beyond Morocco’s borders with the launch of its first international project—a new hospital set to rise in Dubai. This marks the beginning of the group’s expansion into the Gulf region, a move that underscores its broader ambition to establish a foothold in key global healthcare markets.

The Dubai facility, backed by a $70 million investment, will offer 200 beds and is scheduled to open by the end of 2026. The hospital will provide a wide range of services, including advanced surgical procedures, internal medicine, and cancer treatment. It’s being designed to meet the latest international medical standards, incorporating cutting-edge technologies to ensure high-quality care.

Akdital sees this project as more than just a physical expansion—it’s a way to export its private healthcare model and Moroccan-grown expertise to a rapidly evolving region. By entering the Gulf market, the group aims to meet rising demand for specialized care while maintaining the same focus on accessibility and excellence that has driven its growth at home.

Even as it sets its sights abroad, Akdital continues to expand its presence in Morocco. The group currently operates 36 healthcare facilities across 21 cities, managing over 4,100 beds and supported by a workforce of 7,500 professionals. Since going public on the Casablanca Stock Exchange in late 2022, Akdital has made it clear that its mission is to help modernize Morocco’s healthcare infrastructure in a lasting, meaningful way.
