AKDITAL moves deeper into Saudi Arabia with Bishri hospital deal

AKDITAL is expanding its footprint in Saudi Arabia with a major new acquisition. The Moroccan healthcare group has signed a memorandum of understanding to take a majority stake in Bishri Hospital, located in the heart of Mecca. While the deal is still pending final regulatory and operational approvals, completion is expected in the coming weeks.

Bishri Hospital, which has been operating for two years, already holds a strong reputation within the local healthcare landscape. The facility offers 120 beds and a wide range of medical services, including cardiology, interventional procedures, general surgery, intensive care, and a fully equipped radiology unit.

This move reflects AKDITAL’s broader strategy to grow its presence in the Middle East, with a specific focus on the Saudi market. It follows the group’s earlier entry into the country through the acquisition of Al Mishari Hospital in Riyadh. With this second major step, AKDITAL is deepening its integration into the Kingdom’s hospital network.

By taking over Bishri Hospital, the group aims to contribute meaningfully to strengthening the local healthcare system—improving the quality of care while modernizing infrastructure. The acquisition marks another decisive moment in AKDITAL’s ambition to establish a lasting presence in Saudi Arabia’s healthcare sector.
