People living in Inezgane and nearby towns now have access to a new private hospital after Akdital opened the Inezgane International Clinic in the Souss-Massa region.
The new facility has 156 beds and offers a range of services including emergency care, surgery, maternity, cancer treatment and advanced medical imaging.
The clinic includes 36 intensive care beds, along with 11 adult resuscitation rooms and six neonatal resuscitation rooms for newborn babies requiring specialised care.
The hospital is equipped with nine operating theatres, a 10-bed recovery unit, and a cardiac catheterisation laboratory for diagnosing and treating heart diseases.
Cancer patients will also be able to receive treatment locally through a dedicated oncology centre that includes a chemotherapy day hospital with 22 seats.
The clinic’s mother-and-child unit has 19 maternity beds connected directly to neonatal care services. It also includes 30 beds for medical and surgical patients and nine beds for day treatments.
Diagnostic services include MRI and CT scanners, mammography equipment and a fully automated medical testing laboratory.
The emergency department will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with intensive care and anaesthesia specialists on site at all times.
The opening comes as Morocco continues to expand healthcare services across the country following the rollout of compulsory health insurance for millions of citizens.
Demand for medical care has increased in recent years, putting pressure on hospitals in the Souss-Massa region, particularly in Agadir, Inezgane and Aït Melloul.
Akdital, Morocco’s largest private healthcare operator, has been expanding its network nationwide and now operates more than 3,000 beds across several cities.
