In a significant milestone for healthcare in Morocco, AKDITAL has inaugurated the International Clinic of Taroudant, a modern, multidisciplinary healthcare facility offering advanced medical and oncological services. With an investment of 266 million dirhams, this clinic features 153 hospital beds and brings sophisticated healthcare resources to Taroudant, adhering to top international standards.
AKDITAL’s CEO, Dr. Rochdi Talib, led the opening ceremony, underscoring the group’s commitment to expanding Morocco’s healthcare infrastructure and providing accessible, high-quality medical services in regions that have traditionally required travel to larger cities for specialized care. “With this new clinic, residents of Taroudant and its surroundings now have access to cutting-edge treatments close to home,” AKDITAL stated in a release.
Designed to offer an extensive range of services, the International Clinic of Taroudant is equipped with intensive care units, 10 specialized ICU beds for cardiovascular and general critical care, and a neonatal ICU with 7 incubators. It also features an advanced cardiology unit with catheterization labs and stress testing rooms to support cardiovascular and neurovascular treatments.
Imaging technology at the clinic includes MRI, CT scanning, X-rays, ultrasounds, and mammography. These resources are intended to accelerate diagnosis and improve patient care, allowing patients to receive prompt and accurate medical services. To support surgical needs, the clinic includes 8 modern operating theaters, complete with a dedicated birthing unit and endoscopy rooms.
In addition to emergency services available around the clock, the clinic has a well-equipped medical laboratory offering a range of specialized tests, from routine bloodwork to biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, and immunology. Patients’ medical records are entirely digitized, allowing for secure, instant access to data and optimizing patient care.
A standout feature of the Taroudant clinic is its integrated oncology center, specifically focused on cancer diagnostics and treatment. The oncology unit includes a day hospital with 18 chemotherapy chairs and an advanced radiotherapy section outfitted with the latest dosimetry and radiotherapy technologies. By providing comprehensive cancer care, the clinic aims to deliver high-quality, localized treatment options for patients in Taroudant and nearby areas.
As Morocco’s largest private healthcare group, AKDITAL is dedicated to improving healthcare accessibility nationwide. The group currently manages 27 healthcare facilities across 15 Moroccan cities, offering a total capacity of 3,138 beds and employing over 5,582 staff members. AKDITAL went public on the Casablanca Stock Exchange in December 2022, marking a first for Morocco’s healthcare sector and reinforcing its commitment to national healthcare expansion.
By establishing this facility in Taroudant, AKDITAL is enhancing healthcare accessibility in the region and bringing a new level of medical excellence to local communities. This new clinic not only reflects AKDITAL’s mission but also supports the national drive to modernize Morocco’s healthcare infrastructure, providing quality services where they’re needed most.
