The regional services of the judicial police in Al Hoceima foiled, Thursday morning, an attempt of international drug trafficking, and seized a ton and 216 kg of chira. This important operation, carried out near the coastal zone of “Sidi El Abed” in Al Hoceima, made it possible to seize 35 bundles of chira weighing 1.216 kg, said the National Police (DGSN) in a press release.
The security operations conducted on the spot led to the arrest of an individual, aged 26, suspected of having links with a criminal network active in the international trafficking of drugs and psychotropic pills. The suspect was placed in police custody for the investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine the possible ramifications of this criminal activity and apprehend all the accomplices, concluded the DGSN.
