Aluminium du Maroc saw its revenue fall in the first three months of 2026 as demand from overseas markets weakened and raw material costs remained high.
The company reported revenue of 271.95 million dirhams by the end of March, down 9% from 300.35 million dirhams during the same period last year.
Aluminium du Maroc said the decline was mainly linked to the economic impact of tensions in the Middle East. Export markets slowed down, while many customers delayed purchases because of higher prices and uncertainty.
Demand in Morocco remained solid, helping to offset some of the pressure from abroad.
The company invested 1.42 million dirhams during the quarter, slightly higher than the 1.39 million dirhams invested a year earlier. Most of the spending went towards maintaining and upgrading equipment and facilities.
Net financial debt stood at 481.87 million dirhams at the end of March, down 5% from 505.37 million dirhams at the end of 2025.
