AtlantaSanad Assurance has received new ISO 9001:2015 quality certifications for its health and automobile insurance businesses as the company continues to invest in customer service and digital tools. The certifications, awarded by auditing firm VERITAS, also cover the insurer’s claims management activities. AtlantaSanad also renewed its existing certifications for life insurance, bancassurance and micro-insurance.
“These certifications reflect our commitment to strengthening quality standards, ensuring transparent management and building lasting trust with our clients,” said Jalal Benchekroun, Deputy Managing Director of AtlantaSanad.
Nadia Benjelloun, Director of Strategy and Operational Excellence, said the recognition was the result of ongoing improvements across the company. She added that the same approach would be extended to other business areas.
Through its mobile app and WhatsApp platform, customers can now request car insurance quotes, find nearby agents, track health insurance reimbursements, submit claims and download documents.
AtlantaSanad is also upgrading ASSIA, which it describes as Morocco’s first AI-powered insurance assistant. Available 24 hours a day, the service helps customers with insurance procedures and provides information about the company.
For road accidents, the insurer offers a remote vehicle assessment service across Morocco until 10pm every day. Customers with damages worth less than 10,000 dirhams can receive a compensation offer within one hour. Payments can then be collected from more than 5,000 Cash Plus branches nationwide.
The announcement comes as both the company and Morocco’s insurance market continue to grow.
AtlantaSanad reported a net profit of 466 million dirhams in 2025 and increased its annual turnover by 15%, helped by strong sales and a life insurance partnership with Crédit du Maroc.
In the first three months of 2026, the insurer’s revenue rose by 3.8% to 2.37 billion dirhams. Non-life insurance was the main growth driver, rising 10.4% to 1.92 billion dirhams.
The wider insurance sector also posted solid results. According to the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS), Morocco’s insurance market grew by 7.5% in 2025, with total direct insurance turnover reaching 63.1 billion dirhams.
AtlantaSanad is part of the Holmarcom Group and has more than 600 employees. It sells insurance products through a network of 362 exclusive agents and 300 brokers across Morocco’s 12 regions. The company is also the official insurer of Moroccan football.
Its parent company, Holmarcom Finance Company, owns stakes in Takafulia Assurances, Crédit du Maroc and Atlanta Assurances Côte d’Ivoire. The International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group, is one of its main institutional shareholders.
