BANK OF AFRICA partners with “40 under 40” to empower global Moroccan talent

BANK OF AFRICA has officially joined forces with the “Morocco’s 40 under 40” initiative, sealing the partnership during a ceremony held at the bank’s headquarters in Casablanca. This collaboration is designed to strengthen ties between Moroccan talent abroad and the nation’s economic development efforts, with a particular focus on engaging the younger generation of professionals.

At its core, the partnership is driven by a shared goal: to help shape a new wave of Moroccan leadership by harnessing the expertise and potential of the diaspora. With a presence in 32 countries, BANK OF AFRICA plans to leverage its expansive network to support this vision, aligning closely with the monarchy’s broader aim of fostering inclusive and forward-looking growth.

Brahim Benjelloun-Touimi, the bank’s Group Managing Director, emphasized that this initiative reflects a broader strategy to empower young Moroccans living overseas. The goal, he said, is to offer them tailored financial services that align with their ambitions back home. This includes promoting skills development, encouraging investment, and building long-term partnerships with local businesses and stakeholders.

Badr Boussabat, president of the “Morocco’s 40 under 40” program, highlighted the symbolic strength of collaborating with a financial institution that, in his view, embodies the vitality and core values of modern Morocco. Each year, the initiative selects forty outstanding individuals under the age of forty, pairing them with seasoned mentors who help guide their growth. Together, they aim to contribute meaningfully to the country’s 2030 development goals.

Looking ahead, the program seeks to build a network of 200 leaders—drawn from both the Moroccan diaspora and the national talent pool—united by a shared commitment to advancing the country’s global influence and internal progress.
