Best Profil, a Moroccan company specializing in recruitment and temporary staffing, has reached a major milestone. The General Directorate of Taxes (DGI) has awarded the company the highly sought-after “Category A Taxpayer” status—a rare distinction recognizing fiscal compliance and high-level management excellence. Granted for a two-year period, this status serves as a significant strategic advantage for the family-owned SME, founded in 1996.
“Being categorized as ‘A’ is the highest rank a company can achieve in Morocco,” said Tarik Lamrani, CEO of Best Profil. This recognition enhances the company’s credibility and trustworthiness, giving it access to key administrative benefits. These include fast-tracked VAT refunds without prior audits and priority handling of tax disputes—advantages that reinforce Best Profil’s position with financial partners and institutions.
Founded by Zahir Lamrani, Best Profil currently employs 80 full-time staff and manages over 12,000 temporary workers monthly across Morocco. In 2003, Adil Lamrani expanded the company’s recruitment division, while Tarik Lamrani, leading the interim staffing operations since 2008, has strengthened the business nationwide. The company operates across diverse sectors, including hospitality, construction, agribusiness, banking, and insurance.
This growth has been underpinned by a relentless pursuit of excellence and regulatory compliance. Best Profil holds multiple certifications, including ISO accreditation and adherence to CNDP standards for personal data protection. Additionally, the company has earned the SMETA certification, a global benchmark for corporate social responsibility.
The DGI established the “Category A Taxpayer” status to build stronger trust between businesses and the tax administration. This initiative rewards companies that demonstrate transparency, compliance, and exemplary business practices. For Best Profil, the status signals to both local and international stakeholders that the company meets top-tier fiscal and management standards.
Tarik Lamrani emphasized how this recognition elevates the role of SMEs in the economy:
“This label shows that small and medium-sized enterprises can excel in their fields, standing out as reliable and high-performing organizations capable of competing with multinationals.”
