Carrefour has significantly expanded its footprint in Casablanca, launching three new hypermarkets in just two months. The new locations-Almaz, Aïn Sebaâ, and Zenata—have been strategically placed in fast-growing or densely populated urban zones, reinforcing the retailer’s commitment to accessible and localized retail.

This rapid expansion is part of Carrefour’s targeted growth strategy, which focuses on strengthening its commercial network while prioritizing high-potential areas. The total investment for these three new stores amounts to 427 million dirhams, reflecting the group’s strong belief in the Moroccan market’s growth prospects.

Beyond retail space, the openings have also had a major impact on employment. Nearly 1,200 direct jobs have been created across the three sites, with recruitment efforts aimed at drawing from local talent pools. This approach not only supports regional development but also aligns with Carrefour’s broader goal of integrating into the communities it serves.

These new hypermarkets mark another step forward in Carrefour’s ongoing expansion across Morocco. The company continues to focus on urban centers, combining commercial proximity, local presence, and organic growth to build a robust and sustainable retail network.
