Morocco’s National Airports Office has rolled out a new airport shuttle service connecting Mohammed V International Airport to downtown Casablanca. Launched ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the initiative is part of a broader effort to streamline passenger mobility and enhance the overall travel experience from the moment visitors arrive in the country.

Named Aérobus, the shuttle runs every 30 minutes between the airport terminals and Casa-Port, one of the city’s central transport hubs. The service is designed to complement existing public transportation, offering seamless links to trains, taxis, and the wider urban transit network, with a designated stop at Terminal 1.

Developed in partnership with transport operator Alsa, the service is priced at a flat fare of 50 dirhams. It forms part of the “Airports 2030” strategy, a national plan focused on modernizing airport infrastructure and raising service standards for travelers. The shuttle operates around the clock, seven days a week, with a dedicated fleet of modern buses fully accessible to passengers with reduced mobility. Each bus accommodates up to 80 passengers, including 26 seated, and comes equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, secure luggage storage, and experienced professional drivers.

The primary aim is to reduce reliance on private vehicles, particularly during high-traffic periods such as the Hajj pilgrimage or the Marhaba summer travel operation. It also anticipates the surge in passenger numbers expected during major events like the CAN tournament. Once fully operational, the shuttle is expected to carry up to 4,500 passengers daily.

This move marks a significant step forward in ONDA’s long-term vision to improve connectivity between Casablanca’s main airport and key districts across the city. It also aligns with the agency’s commitment to meeting modern environmental and service standards as air travel to Morocco continues to grow.
