The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) has announced that it has granted its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Label to the Caisse Interprofessionnelle Marocaine de Retraite (CIMR) and renewed the same label for the company Redal.
In a statement, the CGEM confirmed the CSR Label’s awarding following a meeting of its attribution committee. The certification recognizes these companies’ dedication to socially responsible practices, integrating the needs of both internal and external stakeholders into their policies.
The CSR Label, according to the CGEM, is part of an ongoing effort to improve and strengthen sustainable business practices. It encourages Moroccan companies to adopt a comprehensive approach that balances economic, environmental, and social factors in their management strategies.
The label is awarded based on an evaluation of a company’s adherence to nine key action areas outlined in the CGEM’s CSR charter. These areas align with universal CSR objectives and cover a wide range of topics, including human rights, labor relations and conditions, environmental stewardship, anti-corruption efforts, fair competition, corporate governance, customer interests, supplier and subcontractor relations, and community engagement.
