Dakhla desert in Morocco will host the first edition of WDC Echoes, a women-led arts event.

The event takes place from 20 to 23 March 2026 at White Dune Canyon and will feature music, poetry, wellness workshops, and discussions across the canyon, lagoon, and sand dunes. Organisers say it is an intimate experience, with no main stage or headline acts, aiming to highlight artistic presence over fame.

WDC Echoes coincides with Eid al-Fitr and Women’s Month, offering a space for connection, sharing, and creativity. All proceeds go to the WDC Female Fellowship, a programme training young women in Dakhla as kitesurf and wingfoil instructors. Fellows receive practical training, professional certification, English lessons, mentoring, and personal development.

Applications are open until 18 February 2026 for young Moroccan women or women living in Morocco who are early in their artistic careers.

Musical curation is overseen by singer Oum El Ghaith, with artistic coordination by coach Nawal Bendifa and local artist Nisrine Boujida.

White Dune Canyon is a 32-room eco-resort on the Dakhla lagoon. The resort combines minimalist design with Moroccan hospitality and sustainable tourism. It runs a kitesurf school through ION Club and follows environmental and social practices, including water recycling, solar energy, local employment, and gender equality initiatives.
