Vivo Energy Morocco unveiled its new lineup of brand ambassadors on December 8 in Casablanca, introducing four icons of African and Moroccan football: Noureddine Naybet, Hamza Igamane, Didier Drogba, and Jay-Jay Okocha. These legendary athletes will now represent the company, which distributes Shell fuels and Butagaz gas, in a campaign that aims to spotlight unity across the African continent and reaffirm its commitment to empowering youth.
Through this powerful alliance, the Moroccan subsidiary seeks to highlight a shared spirit of energy and resilience that connects people from Morocco to every corner of Africa. This energy, according to the company, is the driving force behind personal growth, teamwork, and societal progress.
Two generations of Moroccan football are central to the campaign’s narrative. Former national team captain Noureddine Naybet stands as a symbol of experience, discipline, and responsibility. Alongside him, rising talent Hamza Igamane represents the bold momentum of a new generation stepping confidently into the spotlight.
The campaign’s pan-African reach is reinforced by two of the continent’s most revered players. Ivorian striker Didier Drogba and Nigerian midfield maestro Jay-Jay Okocha bring global recognition and deep regional influence, embodying sporting excellence and unity. Their participation supports Vivo Energy’s broader mission across Africa, where the company operates in 28 countries.
For Stan Mittelman, CEO of Vivo Energy Group, sport and energy both serve as vehicles for transformation and opportunity. Matthias de Larminat, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Morocco, sees the initiative as a way to combine Moroccan youth, ambition, and optimism into one compelling story.
Each of the ambassadors spoke with enthusiasm about the project, praising it as a meaningful platform that uses the values of sport—passion, respect, perseverance, and pride—as inspiration for young people. They all emphasized the importance of collective purpose and the power of coming together to achieve more.
This initiative builds on Vivo Energy Morocco’s longstanding commitment to youth engagement. In 2025, the company launched “Bhamasna La3bine,” a nationwide football tournament designed to uncover young talent and promote teamwork among aspiring players.
With these new ambassadors, Vivo Energy Morocco is positioning itself not just as a brand, but as part of a forward-looking movement—one that celebrates unity, champions the next generation, and reflects the energy of a Morocco with its eyes on the future.
