Turkish company Eczacıbaşı is selling all of its shares in Sanipak, a top hygiene products company in Turkey and Morocco, to investment fund Arch Peninsula. The deal is worth $600 million and still needs approval from competition authorities in both countries.
Sanipak said its day-to-day operations will keep running as normal during the transition, with no changes to staff, production, or business activities.
Sanipak CEO Bulent Kozlu said the sale is an important step for the company. He said joining forces with Arch Peninsula’s international experience and industrial setup will speed up growth and expand their presence in the region.
Sanipak Morocco CEO Imane Zaoui said the deal is a chance to strengthen the company in Morocco, make the most of their teams and factories, and grow the business internationally.
The deal will combine Sanipak’s strong local brands with Arch Peninsula’s global experience and supply chain know-how, opening up new growth opportunities in North Africa while keeping Sanipak strong in its main markets.
Morocco’s hygiene market is growing steadily thanks to urbanisation and a rising middle class, making it an attractive target for international investors.
