France Télévisions will air a special music show about Morocco on 13 March. The programme, “Voyage Voyage, les stars chantent au Maroc”, is organised by the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) and returns with a new format that takes viewers on a journey across the country.
The show follows artists as they travel to different parts of Morocco, performing music while exploring local culture. It aims to give viewers a close look at the country’s landscapes, traditions and creativity.
Filming took place in three main cities: Rabat, Fès and Ouarzazate. Famous landmarks like the Kasbah of the Oudayas, Tour Hassan, Chellah and the Andalusian Garden in Rabat were used as backdrops. In Fès, performances were recorded at the Museum of Adornment and the potters’ village. In Ouarzazate, filming took place at Ksar Aït Ben Haddou and the Taman’Art cultural space.
The show also introduces local artisans and cultural figures. Viewers can see workshops and studios where traditional crafts meet modern creativity, showing a lively and evolving Moroccan arts scene.
Laury Thilleman will host the show. Artists taking part include Magic System, Dany Brillant, Nicoletta, Lorie, Lartiste, Ouidad, Barbara Pravi, Tina Arena, Yuri Buenaventura, Ycare and Natasha St-Pier. They will perform French classics and newer songs, often with new arrangements inspired by Moroccan sounds and unexpected duets.
The ONMT says the programme is part of its plan to promote Morocco to international audiences. By mixing music, heritage and local creativity, the show aims to give viewers a fresh and real look at the country.
