Hilton plans ambitious expansion in Morocco with nine new hotels

Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has unveiled a bold plan to significantly grow its presence in Morocco, with the addition of nine new hotels featuring over 1,300 rooms. This strategic expansion will bring seven of Hilton’s signature brands to Morocco, including the highly anticipated debut of Waldorf Astoria in Rabat and the launch of LXR Hotels & Resorts, Curio Collection by Hilton, and Hampton by Hilton.

Carlos Khneisser, Hilton’s Vice President of Development for the Middle East and Africa, highlighted Morocco’s thriving tourism sector, with 13.1 million visitors in the first nine months of this year—up nearly 2 million from the previous year. He expressed Hilton’s commitment to reaching more than 20 hotels in Morocco in the coming years, emphasizing the group’s six-decade legacy in the country.
