Hilton is set to more than double its hotels in Morocco with 15 new openings, officials said. The deal was signed in Rabat when Tourism Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor met Hilton CEO Christopher J. Nassetta.

Morocco welcomed almost 20 million visitors in 2025, prompting the expansion. The new hotels will open in popular cities like Casablanca and Marrakech, and also in smaller spots like Nador. Hilton will bring in its Tapestry and Curio Collections, aimed at travellers looking for boutique and lifestyle experiences.

Minister Ammor said the move shows international investors trust Morocco’s stability. The project will create more than 2,000 jobs and help the country get ready for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

Morocco’s tourism plan aims for 26 million visitors a year by 2030. The government is investing $4 billion to add around 25,000 hotel rooms. The Moroccan Society of Tourism Engineering (SMIT), led by Imad Barrakad, is helping with advice and incentives to make the expansion easier.

The government is also expanding airports with a €270 million loan to handle 80 million passengers by 2030. Hilton’s Curio and Tapestry hotels are designed to attract higher-spending travellers with unique, local experiences.

The Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé in the Mohammed VI Tower will be the flagship of this new wave of luxury hotels in Morocco.
