JAIDA, a financing company that supports Morocco’s microcredit sector, plans to extend its work to organisations that help people and communities through social and solidarity economy projects. The company will ask shareholders to approve the expansion at a general meeting on 23 November 2026. The proposed changes also include a new headquarters in Casablanca and changes to its board following a major shift in ownership.
Bank Al-Maghrib, Morocco’s central bank, approved the expansion on 17 September 2025. The new authorisation allows JAIDA to finance not only Moroccan microcredit institutions but also organisations working in the social and solidarity economy.
The company also wants to invest in businesses operating in either sector or in related activities. It will keep its authorisation to raise money from the public through funds with repayment periods of more than one year.
The plans follow a change in JAIDA’s ownership. On 29 September 2026, the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) transferred all its shares to the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG), ending its involvement in the company’s shareholding structure and board.
Shareholders will formally acknowledge the CDC’s departure from the board and vote on the appointment of Lalla Wafaa Naim El Idrissi as a new director. The board proposed her appointment on 21 October 2026. If approved, she will serve a three-year term ending at the general meeting that approves JAIDA’s accounts for 2029.
JAIDA also plans to move its headquarters from Rabat to Casablanca Finance City. The proposed new address is Main Street, Lot 60, in Casablanca’s business district. The move requires shareholders to approve an amendment to Article 4 of the company’s articles of association.
The company will also seek approval to remove all references to the CDC from its statutory documents following the transfer of its shares to the CDG.
The meeting will take place remotely at 15:30 on 23 November 2026. Shareholders will vote on the proposed changes to the company’s activities, board and registered address.
