Dozens of bridge players are spending four days in Marrakech this week, competing and connecting over a game that rewards patience and sharp thinking.

The tournament runs from 21 to 24 May at the Kenzi Rose Garden in the Hivernage district. It is organised by the Royal Moroccan Bridge Federation, which manages and promotes the game across the country.

Kenzi Hotels Group is hosting and sponsoring the event, working with the Royal Bridge Club Marrakech, a well known local club.

Organisers say the hotel was chosen to help players stay focused during long matches. Kenzi representatives said: “Combining elegance, comfort and serenity, the hotel offers an ideal environment favoring concentration, performance and exchanges between participants.”

The federation says events like this are part of a wider push to grow bridge in Morocco and give local players more exposure at an international level.

It is not just for experienced players. Organisers say the tournament is also open to newcomers who want to discover the game in a welcoming setting. They said: “This tournament also constitutes a great opportunity to discover or rediscover bridge, a noble game mixing strategy, reflection, collective intelligence and passion, in a refined setting in the heart of Marrakech.”
