La Liga and EA SPORTS are bringing their Next-Gen Drafts programme to Morocco from 27 to 29 March 2026, giving young players a chance to show off their skills and get a taste of professional training.

Part of the wider EA SPORTS FC FUTURES project, the initiative is all about investing in grassroots football and helping the next generation shine. Around 900 young players worldwide will take part, with Morocco joining Mexico, Japan, Nigeria, and China before the final stage in Spain.

The programme has four stages. It kicks off with the FC Rush tournament, where players compete in 5v5 matches inspired by EA SPORTS FC. La Liga scouts will be watching closely, looking at skills, vision, and sportsmanship. Fifty players, 25 boys and 25 girls, move on to the FC Futures Academy for personalised training from UEFA PRO-licensed La Liga coaches.

Next comes the final match, an 11v8 game against a local team. Scouts aren’t just looking at talent – teamwork, resilience, and commitment count too. The top eight players, four boys and four girls, will earn a spot in the LaLiga Experience in Spain, training with academy teams, playing friendlies, and seeing life inside elite European clubs.

EA SPORTS FC FUTURES also supports more than 15 partner programmes, donates equipment in over 10 countries, and provides a free online library of coaching exercises. The initiative has also helped renovate pitches in Spain, South Africa, Singapore, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, giving young people safe spaces to play.
