Morocco’s largest building materials company, LafargeHolcim Maroc, says its profits rose sharply in 2025 as construction activity across the country continued to grow.
The company reported consolidated net profit of more than 2.16bn dirhams, up 18.6% from 2024.
Net profit for the company itself reached over 1.94bn dirhams, according to a statement released after a board meeting chaired by Saïd El Hadi to approve the accounts for the year ending 31 December 2025.
The company’s total revenue reached about 9bn dirhams, an increase of 9.6% compared with the previous year.
It said the growth came mainly from higher sales of cement and ready-mix concrete, as Morocco’s construction sector remained active.
Operating profit also increased, rising 15.8% to more than 3.8bn dirhams.
LafargeHolcim said the improvement was due to stronger sales, better control of production costs and more efficient operations.
The board has proposed paying a dividend of 96 dirhams per share for the 2025 financial year.
The company also plans to change its name. Shareholders will be asked to approve a move from LafargeHolcim Maroc to Holcim Maroc, in line with the global branding of the Holcim group.
LafargeHolcim was created in 2016 after the merger of the Moroccan businesses of Lafarge and Holcim. It operates in partnership with the African investment fund Al Mada.
Today it runs a large network of cement plants across the country, including facilities in Settat, Meknes and Agadir.
Besides cement, the company also produces ready-mix concrete and construction aggregates, supplying projects ranging from housing developments to large infrastructure works.
