Tarik Ameziane Moufaddal, president of Masen, has been elected to lead Morocco’s Renewable Energy Cluster following a general assembly held Wednesday in Casablanca. More than 150 members and institutional partners gathered to renew the leadership of this platform dedicated to advancing renewable energy.

The session was attended by Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, who praised the sector’s commitment to driving the country’s energy transition. He underlined the Cluster’s strategic role in innovation and industrial development, while urging stakeholders to strengthen Morocco’s position in key technologies such as energy storage, battery production, and green hydrogen.

A message from Energy Transition Minister Leila Benali, read during the event, emphasized the Cluster’s unifying mission as a driver of cleaner, more competitive energy that supports both job creation and sustainable growth.

After his election, Moufaddal stressed that the new board aims to make renewable energy a pillar of industrialization and regional development by fostering public-private collaboration and creating significant added value.

The renewed board brings together 22 representatives from across the national ecosystem, ranging from large corporations to innovative SMEs, as well as federations, universities, research centers, and financial institutions. The executive committee includes Mohamed Lasry of Cleanenergy Maroc as vice president, Nawfal El Fadil of Masen as permanent secretary, and Fatima Zahra El Khalifa as director general.

Founded in 2014 by Masen in partnership with several professional federations, the Renewable Energy Cluster operates under the Ministry of Energy Transition. As a nonprofit association, it serves as a catalyst for innovation and a tool for industrial growth, with the goal of boosting the competitiveness of Morocco’s renewable energy sector.
