Moroccan companies step into the global spotlight with MSCI inclusion

The latest outlook from BMCE Capital Global Research paints a promising picture for companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

Starting May 30, 2025, three Moroccan companies will join the MSCI Frontier Markets Index, a key benchmark closely monitored by international investors. Crédit du Maroc, Delta Holding, and Sonasid are set to be included, marking a significant milestone for the Casablanca stock exchange. This move highlights Casablanca’s growing influence and recognition on the global financial stage.

In addition to these developments, two more Moroccan companies will be added to the MSCI Frontier Small Cap Index, which tracks smaller capitalization firms. CTM and Fenie Brossette have been selected for inclusion. The primary goal of these additions is to enhance the international profile of Moroccan businesses and broaden investment opportunities for global funds.

The adjustments by MSCI are expected to generate fresh interest from foreign investors in the Moroccan market. Beyond increasing visibility, the changes provide the selected companies with a stronger position in the competitive landscape of international finance, potentially paving the way for further growth and development.
