Medical teams from the Inspectorate of the Military Health Service under the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) have joined the efforts made by the Ministry of Health to ensure the success of the COVID-19 vaccination operation. These teams, made up of doctors and nurses, have started, with their counterparts from the Ministry of Health, the vaccination of citizens in the different regions of the Kingdom.
These operations are carried out in full compliance with preventive measures, such as wearing a mask, observing physical distancing and sterilization, in accordance with the standards adopted by the health authorities. In this regard, these military teams contributed, Thursday, to the vaccination of citizens at the Ibn Rochd sports complex in the district of Yaacoub El Mansour (Prefecture of Rabat).
Speaking to M24, MAP’s continuous news channel, the chief doctor of the Rabat Health Establishment Network, Karim Mohamed Nabil, said that civilian medical officials under the Ministry of Health are working together with their military counterparts in order to ensure the conduct of the vaccination operation in the best conditions and this in full compliance with precautionary measures. Mohamed Nabil also recalled that the center is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., calling on citizens to get vaccinated in order to curb the spread of the pandemic and achieve collective immunity.
For his part, the doctor-captain Imane Sefiani said in a similar statement that “in execution of the High instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, and within the framework of the national vaccination campaign against the Coronavirus, medical teams of the Inspectorate of the military health service made up of doctors and nurses were mobilized to support the efforts made by the Ministry of Health to ensure the success of the vaccination operation aimed at achieving collective immunity”. “In this center, we are working side by side with civilian executives from the Ministry of Health, in a spirit of understanding and shared responsibility,” said the doctor-captain, adding that the vaccination operation “takes place in good conditions” and that all preventive measures have been adopted.
His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the FAR, had given His High Instructions so that military medicine would take part jointly with its civilian counterpart in the delicate mission of fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic.
