Morocco is taking part in the 2025 edition of China’s International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) this week, showcasing its cultural and tourism offerings at one of the country’s largest economic events. The Moroccan Embassy in Beijing is hosting a dedicated pavilion that highlights the Kingdom’s traditional craftsmanship and travel potential.

CIFTIS, organized under the authority of China’s Ministry of Commerce and the Beijing municipal government, has drawn participation from 85 countries and international organizations this year, along with 2,000 companies from across the globe. Running through Sunday, the fair serves as China’s leading platform for promoting service-based trade.

Morocco’s pavilion features a carefully curated selection of artisanal products, including leather goods, metalwork, jewelry, and natural cosmetics—each representing a distinct aspect of the country’s rich heritage. Alongside its craft traditions, Morocco is also spotlighting its tourism sector, supported by promotional materials from Royal Air Maroc, which resumed direct flights between Beijing and Casablanca earlier this year.

Visitors have been drawn in by the vibrant and authentic presentation of Moroccan culture. The stand was designed to reflect the country’s artisanal spirit, and it quickly became a popular stop for attendees curious about Morocco’s blend of tradition and modernity.

According to Chinese officials, the country’s trade in services totaled 4.58 trillion yuan—around $643 billion—between January and July 2025. That figure marks an 8.2% increase compared to the same period last year, underlining China’s growing emphasis on the global services market.
