Morocco will host the fourth edition of the International Series golf tournament in Rabat from 11 to 14 June, with a prize fund of $2m.

The event will be played at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam and, for the first time, is being presented in partnership with Visit Morocco.

The tournament shows Morocco’s growing role in golf across the Middle East and North Africa.

Since launching in 2022, the competition has been backed by the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation, chaired by Prince Moulay Rachid. The aim has been to develop the sport locally while giving Moroccan players the chance to compete at a higher level.

The event forms part of a pathway created with the Asian Tour, designed to help players move from qualifying events and development tours into top-tier competitions. Officials describe this as a long-term investment in golf in Morocco and the wider region.

The Red Course at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, where the tournament will be held, was named the Asian Tour Players’ Choice Course of the Year in 2025.

Rahul Singh, head of the International Series, said the event has grown steadily since it began.

“This year marks our fourth tournament in Morocco, and the progress we’ve seen with each staging has been remarkable. Each return has raised the bar for competition while contributing to the continued growth of the game in the country. Our decision last season to commit to two further years reflects Morocco’s strategic importance to the Series, and we are delighted to welcome Visit Morocco as presenting partner in 2026 as we continue to expand the event’s impact.”

He added that the tournament brings leading international players to Morocco while giving local golfers the chance to compete on a global stage.

Major champion Sergio Garcia is among the early high-profile names expected in the 156-player field in Rabat.

The event is the third stop on the 2026 International Series calendar, with South Korean golfer John Catlin currently leading the standings after his win at the Singapore Open in April.
