Morocco has drawn a record-breaking 18 million tourists between January and November 2025, surpassing the total number of visitors for all of 2024 by more than 600,000, according to the country’s Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy.
This milestone marks a major leap for the industry, showing a 13.5% increase compared to the same period last year. The government attributes this surge to a series of strategic initiatives launched under its 2023–2026 roadmap, aimed at boosting the tourism sector on multiple fronts.
Key efforts have included expanding international flight connections, ramping up global marketing efforts, and diversifying Morocco’s tourism offerings to attract a broader range of travelers. These moves are now paying off, with Morocco not only drawing more visitors but also solidifying its reputation as a top global destination.
Tourism Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor highlighted the broader significance of this achievement, noting that it reflects the country’s recent progress under the leadership of King Mohammed VI. She emphasized Morocco’s rising global appeal and the untapped potential still ahead.
“We’re on track to finish the year strong, especially with the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, which is expected to make December one of our best months yet,” Ammor said.
With the final month of the year still ahead—and a major international sporting event on the calendar—Morocco looks set to close 2025 on an even higher note, cementing its place among the world’s fastest-growing travel destinations.
