Rachid Machou has been unanimously elected as the new President of the Moroccan Association for the Automobile Industry and Construction (AMICA). This decision was made during the Elective Ordinary General Assembly held last Friday in Tangier, marking a new chapter for one of the most critical institutions in Morocco’s booming automotive sector.
Machou succeeds Hakim Abdelmoumen, taking over the leadership of AMICA at a crucial time when the Moroccan automotive industry continues to strengthen its position as a key pillar of the national economy. Alongside Machou, a newly elected board of directors, consisting of prominent industry leaders, will guide AMICA’s future initiatives.

- Deputy Secretary General: Hicham Zerhouni (Denso Thermal Systems Morocco)
- Treasurer General: Issam Essaied (Hirschmann Automotive KE)
- Deputy Treasurer General: Badr Lahmoudi (Dika Morocco Africa – Dicastal)
- Board Members: Taoufik Laamiri (Forvia) and Khalid Bennis (A2ME)
