The ranking is based on a survey conducted with over 1,000 Moroccan professionals living in Europe, Africa, North America, the Middle East, and Asia.

From a list of 500 companies in Morocco, 10 employers stood out:

  1. Al Mada
  2. OCP SA

  4. Royal Air Maroc
  5. Attijariwafa Bank
  6. Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique (UM6P)
  7. Agence Spéciale Tanger Med

  10. Groupe CDG

Regional preferences and trends

The survey highlights notable differences in employer preferences based on geographic regions:

  • North America: OCP Group leads the rankings, followed by Groupe Akwa and Royal Air Maroc. These companies are favored due to their strong reputation, economic impact, and consistent efforts to attract and retain Moroccan talent abroad.
  • Europe: Al Mada claims the top spot, followed by OCP SA and Royal Air Maroc. Al Mada’s international reach and involvement in key sectors like energy, telecommunications, and finance make it particularly appealing to Moroccan professionals in Europe.
  • Middle East and Asia: Attijariwafa Bank is the most preferred employer, reflecting its prominence in the region.

Key insights on compensation and career goals

More than 50% of respondents expect monthly salaries between 30,000 and 80,000 MAD. The survey also revealed that work-life balance and the opportunity for rapid advancement in both public and private sectors are important criteria for professionals considering a return to Morocco.

However, the top priorities for these talents remain career development and salary, followed by the work environment and conditions offered by potential employers.

Leadership and corporate culture

The survey highlights that Moroccan professionals, particularly those in North America and the Middle East, are drawn to companies with inspiring leadership and a corporate culture characterized by transparency, collaboration, and inclusivity. Notably, four leaders stood out as particularly inspiring:

  • Mostafa Terrab
  • Moulay Hafid Elalamy
  • Moncef Belkhayat
  • Adil Douiri

These leaders are seen as embodying ambitious and responsible leadership, fostering innovation and long-term vision within their organizations.

Building connections with Moroccan talent abroad

According to Hamza Idrissi, founder of Careers in Morocco, this third edition of the study reflects the growing aspirations of Moroccan talent in an increasingly competitive global environment. He emphasized the platform’s commitment to supporting Moroccan companies in attracting international talent and promoting the return of skilled professionals to Morocco.

Careers in Morocco, which organizes annual forums in Paris, London, Dubai, Montreal, and Casablanca, serves as a key platform for Moroccan talent worldwide, focusing on career opportunities, entrepreneurship, and investment in Morocco.
