Orange Morocco leads national push to end cyberbullying

Orange Morocco is stepping up its fight against cyberbullying, placing the issue at the center of its broader commitment to responsible digital use. Through its #ForGoodConnections program, the telecom operator is launching a nationwide campaign aimed at raising awareness, educating the public, and protecting younger generations from the growing dangers of online abuse.

This initiative takes shape through grassroots efforts involving collaboration with public institutions, schools, and civil society organizations. Teachers, students, families, and experts are actively engaged in a range of thematic events that mix open discussions, personal testimonies, expert-led interventions, and creative educational strategies.

One of the key pillars of Orange Morocco’s strategy is equipping educators and schools with practical tools to build digital literacy while promoting a culture of respect and awareness in online spaces. The company has set an ambitious goal: train over 6,500 teachers and support 2,200 middle schools by 2026, with the ultimate aim of scaling the program nationally.

To make the learning experience more engaging and relatable, the program uses interactive formats inspired by talk shows and role-playing games. These workshops give young participants a chance to explore the mechanics and emotional impact of cyberbullying, providing a safe space for dialogue across generations. The goal is not just to inform, but to empower.

At several recent events, including one held at Euromed University in Fez, Orange Morocco CEO Hendrik Kasteel reiterated the company’s commitment to creating a safer and more inclusive digital environment. He also emphasized that safeguarding children online is a collective responsibility, calling on all sectors of society to take part in this crucial effort.
