Megarama Maroc is gearing up to bring a groundbreaking movie experience to Rabat audiences. On December 17, a brand-new IMAX theater – fully outfitted with cutting-edge laser technology – will open its doors inside the Arribat Center mall. This latest addition signals a bold step forward for the cinema chain, as it continues its mission to introduce Morocco to the highest standards of global cinematic technology.

The new theater seats 150 people and promises a fully immersive experience from the moment the lights go down. With its curved screen, ultra-high-definition visuals, vivid color depth, dramatic contrast, and enveloping sound system, this isn’t just another movie showing – it’s a sensory journey designed to pull viewers deep into the heart of the story.

The opening aligns with the nationwide release of Avatar: The Seed Bearer, the latest chapter in James Cameron’s epic saga. Screening in IMAX, the film is set to transport audiences straight into the fantastical world of Pandora, elevated by the unmatched clarity and scale that the format delivers. It’s a fitting premiere to showcase the theater’s capabilities.

“With the arrival of IMAX in Rabat, we’re reinforcing our commitment to bringing world-class cinema to Moroccan audiences,” said Cyril Audineau, Country Manager for Megarama Maroc. “Launching with Avatar 3 is the perfect way to highlight the exceptional experience we aim to offer.”

Already operating in five major cities across the country, Megarama continues to expand its footprint. As Morocco’s leading multiplex chain, the group remains focused on blending technological innovation with broad accessibility, striving to make premium cinema an everyday reality for moviegoers throughout the Kingdom.
