Royal Air Maroc is preparing a large-scale flight plan to help Moroccan fans travel to the United States for the 2026 World Cup and support the national team, the Atlas Lions.

The airline will run special direct flights during the group stage of the tournament, from 13 to 24 June, to New York, Boston and Atlanta, the cities hosting Morocco’s matches. Atlanta is a new destination for the national carrier.

In total, around 32 extra flights will be added, offering more than 8,800 seats for fans who want to support the Atlas Lions.

Hamid Addou, the chief executive of Royal Air Maroc, said: “We are pleased to once again support the exceptional journey of the Atlas Lions during this global event. After the success of the special programmes in Russia in 2018 and Qatar in 2022, Royal Air Maroc is once again mobilising to allow Moroccan fans to follow this major football celebration alongside their national team.”

He added: “We will significantly strengthen our offer to the cities hosting the Atlas Lions’ matches by scheduling special flights on long haul aircraft. As part of its role as a national airline, Royal Air Maroc will deploy all technical, human and operational resources needed to promote Morocco and raise the national colours high. Today more than ever, we are all supporting the Atlas Lions.”

For New York, the airline will run 12 extra direct flights on 11, 12 and 13 June for departures and on 14 and 15 June for return trips. This will allow more than 3,300 fans to travel. When combined with its usual two daily flights, total capacity to New York will rise to around 7,500 passengers.

Boston will also see 12 special flights, scheduled on 17, 18 and 19 June for departures and on 20, 21 and 22 June for returns. These flights will carry more than 3,300 supporters.

Atlanta will be served with eight special flights on 22, 23 and 24 June for departures and on 25, 26 and 27 June for returns. Around 2,200 fans are expected to travel on this route.

All flights will be operated using long-haul aircraft designed for comfort and safety on transatlantic journeys.

The airline is also offering a fixed economy class return fare of 10,000 dirhams. The tickets will be non-refundable.

Sales will open on 20 May 2026 at 9am through Royal Air Maroc offices in Morocco and online via its dedicated platform .
