Royal Air Maroc has cancelled several flights between Morocco and Belgium because of a general strike planned in Brussels on 12 March.

In a statement, the airline said flights AT832 and AT833 between Casablanca and Brussels, and AT636 and AT637 between Marrakech and Brussels, will not operate that day.

The disruption is linked to a nationwide strike in the Belgian capital, which is expected to affect airport operations at Brussels Airport.

Royal Air Maroc said passengers affected by the cancellations have several options.

Travellers can change their booking free of charge within 15 days of the original travel date, depending on seat availability in the same cabin, for flights departing from or arriving at Brussels Airport.

Passengers may also rebook their trip free of charge within three days of the cancelled flight on services to or from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, again subject to seat availability in the same cabin.

The airline also said passengers can request a full refund, which will be returned through the original form of payment.

Royal Air Maroc advised affected passengers not to go to the airport and instead contact their travel agency, point of sale or the airline’s call centre to arrange one of the available options.
