The second edition of the International Series Morocco golf tournament is set to take place from July 4 to 7 at the prestigious Royal Golf Dar Essalam in Rabat. This event will feature prominent national and international golf stars, making it a significant stop on the Asian Tour.

According to the organizers, this eighth stage of the Asian Tour will see participation from some of the sport’s most notable names. Among the competitors are reigning champion Jazz Janewattananond from Thailand, his compatriot Kiradech Aphibarnrat, India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar, and Scotland’s Scott Hend.

During a press conference on Wednesday in Rabat, the organizers also announced that top Moroccan golfer Ayoub Lguirati, ranked first nationally, will be competing in this prestigious event.

American golfer John Catlin expressed his excitement about his second participation in the International Series Morocco. He looks forward to tackling the challenging course at Royal Golf Dar Essalam, which is renowned for its difficulty and will test the skills of all participants.

Ayoub Lguirati shared his enthusiasm for representing Morocco again in this Asian Tour stage, promising to give his best effort to achieve a commendable result. He acknowledged the competition’s high level, with many international champions, including the titleholder, vying to retain their positions. However, Lguirati remains confident, emphasizing his rigorous preparation and determination to perform well without feeling pressured.

Morocco will be well-represented in the tournament, with professional golfers Ayoub Lguirati, Othman Raouzi, and Ayoub Id-Omar competing in the Pros category. Additionally, amateurs Hugo Mazan Trommetter, Soufiane Dahmane, Aissa El Khadri, and Adam Bresnu will showcase their talents.

This marks the second time that an Asian Tour event is held in North Africa, underscoring the importance of the International Series Morocco in promoting and developing golf in the region. The International Series, organized by the Asian Tour, aims to strengthen and grow the sport in Asia and the Middle East.

Participants in the tournament will compete for the coveted title and a prize fund of $2 million, making it one of the most lucrative and prestigious events on the Asian Tour calendar.
