Safran has created a new company in Morocco focused on aircraft engine lubrication systems. The French aerospace group has named the company Safran Oil Systems Maroc. Its headquarters will be at the Midparc industrial platform in Nouaceur, near Casablanca.
The company appeared in the Official Gazette on 16 September 2026. Safran created it on 1 July and registered it with the Casablanca Trade Registry on 31 August.
Safran Aero Boosters, a Safran company based in Liège, Belgium, owns 100% of Safran Oil Systems Maroc.
The new company has capital of about 108m dirhams ($11.8m), split into 10,800 shares.
Safran Oil Systems Maroc will work on aircraft engine equipment and lubrication systems.
Safran Aero Boosters designs and makes low-pressure compressors and other equipment for aircraft engines, including oil systems.
The new company adds to Safran’s operations in Morocco, where the group has been active for more than 20 years.
Safran has facilities in Nouaceur, Rabat-Ain Atiq and Tiflet. Its activities include aircraft wiring, composite nacelles and engine maintenance.
Safran is also building a new engine maintenance workshop at Midparc. The group agreed with MEDZ in 2024 to build the 25,000 sq m facility for LEAP engines.
The workshop is expected to open in 2026. It is designed to handle about 150 maintenance operations a year and create around 600 jobs.
The new company comes as the aerospace industry continues to expand around Midparc and other industrial sites, supported by investment and technical training.
