Sanofi appoints Najla Cherif Hamdi as CEO of Sanofi Morocco

Sanofi has announced the appointment of Najla Cherif Hamdi as the new Chief Executive Officer of Sanofi Morocco. Based in Casablanca, Hamdi assumed her new role on July 15, 2024. Alongside her duties in Morocco, she will oversee Sanofi Pharma operations in Tunisia and Libya, covering both general and specialty medicine.

Hamdi takes over from Adrien Delamare-Deboutteville, who has transitioned to the role of Pharma General Manager for Africa, operating out of Cairo, Egypt.

An alumna of the Institut Supérieur de Gestion de Tunis, Hamdi brings a wealth of experience from her diverse roles in human resources, quality management, public affairs, and market access across various multinational companies such as Air Liquide, Orange, and UFI Group, both within Tunisia and internationally.

Since joining Sanofi in 2013, Hamdi initially served as the Director of Human Resources for Morocco, Tunisia, and Libya. In 2019, she stepped up as the Country Chair for Tunisia and Libya, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to the company.

Beyond her responsibilities at Sanofi, Hamdi is the President of Sephire (the Union of Innovative and Research Pharmaceutical Companies based in Tunisia) and serves on the board of the Franco-Libyan Chamber of Commerce.

Hamdi is married and a mother of two, balancing her professional accomplishments with her family life.
