The 17th edition of the International Agricultural Fair in Morocco (SIAM) will return to Meknès from April 21 to 27, 2025. Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this year’s event will revolve around a critical theme: “Agriculture and Rural Development: Water at the Heart of Sustainable Growth.” This topic strikes a deep chord amidst global climate challenges and the growing scarcity of water resources.
With water management emerging as a major concern, the organizers aim to promote effective water governance strategies. Throughout the fair, scientific conferences will delve into practical ways to bolster agricultural resilience. The mission is clear: increase productivity while conserving water and protecting environmental balance to secure Morocco’s long-term food sovereignty.
This year, France has been named the guest of honor—a decision that reflects the robust bilateral ties between the two countries. Their collaboration spans several key sectors, including agriculture, agribusiness, fisheries, and forestry. This partnership promises to unlock fresh opportunities for development and knowledge-sharing, deepening cooperative efforts for mutual growth.
Spread across an impressive 12.4 hectares, SIAM 2025 will feature twelve specialized thematic areas.
