Stellantis Maroc has launched a programme offering drivers a 30,000 dirham bonus if they trade in vehicles older than 15 years and buy a new electrified model from the group.
The scheme, called ECO BONUS, applies to any car over 15 years old, regardless of brand or condition. The vehicle must be sent to an approved recycling facility that meets environmental standards.
In return, customers receive the 30,000 dirham discount directly when purchasing a new hybrid, REEV or fully electric vehicle.
The company says the initiative is designed to remove the most polluting cars from the road and replace them with cleaner models. It forms part of wider efforts to support the shift towards electrified transport.
The offer is available across the full distribution network in Morocco.
The launch comes amid strong growth in the local car market. In 2025, sales rose by more than 33 percent. Sales of electrified vehicles are expected to increase by around 36 percent in 2026, with more than 7,000 units forecast.
The sector is also becoming more competitive, with new entrants from China and expanding local production projects. These include developments linked to Tesla and Renault.
The ECO BONUS programme covers models from several brands within the group, including Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Leapmotor and Peugeot.
Stellantis says the programme supports its broader strategy to expand electrified mobility.
The company’s managing director in Morocco, Yves Peyrot des Gachons, said the aim is to make cleaner transport more accessible while offering a direct financial benefit to customers.
Morocco aims to reach a fleet of more than 200,000 electric vehicles by 2034. More than 1,000 charging points are already operational, with further expansion planned.
Stellantis Maroc says ECO BONUS is intended to support national efforts to reduce emissions and accelerate the transition towards lower carbon transport.
