Supeco plans to open more than 100 new stores in 2026, taking its network to 318 stores. The discount supermarket chain says the expansion will help it get closer to customers while keeping prices low. Supeco uses a mix of supermarket and cash-and-carry formats. It serves households looking for cheaper everyday products, as well as small businesses such as cafes, restaurants and grocery shops that need to buy supplies in larger quantities.

The chain uses volume-based pricing, so customers can pay less when they buy more. Its stores also use simple layouts and pallet displays, helping to keep operating costs down.

The expansion comes as more consumers look for cheaper ways to manage household spending. Discount retailers have been growing as families face pressure on their budgets and become more careful about where they shop.

More than 100 new stores in one year would also mean a major expansion of Supeco’s logistics and supply operations. The company will need enough distribution capacity, stock and supplier support to keep the growing network supplied.

The growth could also increase competition in the grocery market. Traditional supermarkets may need to offer lower prices and more promotions to keep customers who are focused on value.

Label’Vie operates Supeco in Morocco. The group also runs Carrefour franchises locally, giving Supeco access to an existing logistics and supply-chain network.

Supeco’s expansion shows how the discount model is becoming a bigger part of grocery retail. Its combination of supermarket shopping and bulk buying allows it to target both households and small businesses while competing mainly on price.
