TAMWILCOM took part in The Montreal Group’s 2026 annual summit in Helsinki, Finland, from 22 to 24 September. The summit brought together financial institutions from around the world to discuss how small and medium-sized businesses can deal with economic, technological and geopolitical changes.
Finnvera, Finland’s state-owned financing company and official export credit agency, hosted the event in partnership with The Montreal Group.
The summit focused on the theme “Building Resilience for SME Success – From Intention to Impact”. Discussions covered business resilience, innovation, artificial intelligence, digital adoption, technological sovereignty, market diversification and support for SME growth.
Said Jabrani, general manager of TAMWILCOM, joined the high-level discussions. He spoke during a session focused on artificial intelligence, digital adoption and technological sovereignty.
The meeting also gave participating institutions a chance to share experience, financing tools, risk-management approaches and ways to help SMEs expand into new markets.
TAMWILCOM’s participation comes a year after it hosted The Montreal Group’s network activities in Morocco in 2025.
The Montreal Group is an international network of development banks and financial institutions that support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. Its members exchange experience and practices on financing, guarantees and other forms of support for smaller businesses.
The network’s work focuses on helping SMEs deal with economic shocks, adopt new technologies, diversify their markets and support long-term growth.
TAMWILCOM is a public financial institution that supports business creation, modernisation and innovation through guarantee schemes and co-financing solutions. It was formerly known as the Caisse Centrale de Garantie (CCG).
Finnvera provides loans, guarantees and other financial services to Finnish businesses, with a focus on growth and internationalisation.
The Helsinki summit also provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between TMG members and develop common approaches to SME financing and support.
