Thomas Vigneron is the new managing director of TotalEnergies Marketing Maroc. He took up the role on 17 September 2026, following a decision by the company’s board on 1 September. He replaces Abdesslam Rhnimi, who had led the company since 2022 and is moving to a new role within TotalEnergies.
Vigneron has spent more than 20 years with TotalEnergies. His career has included roles in finance, business development and operations across several countries.
He started in finance in Brussels before moving to network development in the Netherlands. He later worked in business development in Singapore.
Vigneron also served on the management teams of TotalEnergies businesses in Denmark and Brussels. Before moving to Morocco, he was based in the United Arab Emirates, where he led TotalEnergies Marketing Middle East & Central Asia.
He managed about 100 employees working across more than 20 countries. His work focused on growing the business and developing new ideas in the region.
Vigneron has a degree in economics and business management from Louvain School of Management. He also holds a master’s degree from Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.
He now leads a business that has operated in Morocco for nearly 100 years. TotalEnergies Marketing Maroc sells fuel, lubricants and LPG, and also operates in aviation and logistics.
The company employs nearly 600 people directly and supports more than 5,000 indirect jobs. It sells about 1.8 million tonnes of petroleum products each year and operates 388 service stations across the country, including 10 on motorways.
TotalEnergies Marketing Maroc has an estimated 15% share of the market and is the third-largest distributor of petroleum products and services in the country.
