Vivo Energy Morocco is reaffirming its commitment to social inclusion by renewing its partnership with the non-profit organization L’Heure Joyeuse. The two parties have signed a new agreement to support 110 vulnerable young people through the École de la Deuxième Chance Nouvelle Génération (E2C-NG) in Ben M’sick, Casablanca—a program designed to help those who have fallen out of the traditional education system find their way back into learning and employment.
This two-year partnership continues a collaboration that began back in 2002 and gained new momentum in 2019 with the launch of the school’s first class. Since then, 385 young people have benefited from this alternative education model, which focuses on reintegration into school, the workforce, and society at large.
Unlike traditional schooling, the E2C-NG program takes a comprehensive approach, combining academic support with personal and professional development, social and psychological assistance, and cultural enrichment. Sports activities and interactive workshops are also part of the curriculum, all aimed at helping these young people build the skills and confidence they need to successfully re-enter society. The program is especially attentive to ensuring equal opportunities for both girls and boys, with a clear goal of opening up educational and professional paths for every participant.
Vivo Energy Morocco’s involvement in this initiative reflects its broader vision of human development through education as a powerful tool for inclusion. For over 20 years, the company has been dedicated to fighting school dropout rates and offering second chances to youth facing hardship. “We believe no child should be left behind,” says Hind Mejjati Alami, who oversees communications and corporate social responsibility at Vivo Energy Morocco.
For its part, L’Heure Joyeuse brings decades of experience in working with disadvantaged youth, applying proven methods to guide them toward education and employment. The organization has long championed equal access to learning and job opportunities, grounded in the belief that every young person, given the right support, can create a better future.
This initiative is part of Vivo Energy Morocco’s wider commitment to social responsibility, which also includes investments in renewable energy, road safety, and the distribution of Shell and Butagaz fuels through its network of more than 430 service stations across the country.
