Yango has launched a new feature that lets people book rides directly inside ChatGPT, without jumping between different apps.

The feature was announced in Casablanca. It is being rolled out in more than 25 countries across the Middle East, South Asia, Africa and Latin America.

The idea is simple: users can plan a trip in chat, then finish the booking in the Yango app or website.

How it works

The system uses live traffic data and route planning tools to answer travel requests inside the chat. Once a route is chosen, the user is sent to the Yango app or website to confirm and pay for the ride. It shows the price before booking, offers different route options, and gives live updates on arrival time and driver location.

It can also suggest better pickup points to reduce waiting time.

Bigger move towards “super apps”

This is part of a wider trend where companies try to offer many services in one place, often called super apps. Yango says this is not just about taxis. It wants users to handle more daily tasks in one chat system instead of multiple apps.

In Morocco, especially among young people and visitors, demand is growing for simple all in one digital services. Casablanca is becoming a test spot for this kind of tech.

Competition in AI tools

Transport and delivery companies are now competing to be part of AI platforms. More services are moving towards chat-based booking instead of traditional apps.

Experts expect that by 2027, over 30 percent of bookings for digital services could start inside AI tools rather than app stores.

More services planned

Yango says this is just the start. More features are planned inside ChatGPT. These include package delivery services, where users can arrange deliveries through chat. It also plans to add public transport information like buses and trains.

Food and grocery delivery through Yango Deli is also expected to be added.

Using data for smarter routes

The system can handle detailed requests, such as finding the fastest route that also passes a coffee shop or other stop. It uses live data to adjust routes based on time, traffic and user needs.

Yango is focusing on Africa and Latin America, where many people use smartphones as their main way to go online.

These regions also have fewer established ride-hailing rivals, giving the company more space to grow.
