25 artists, one night: Myriem Himmich Gallery joins Morocco’s Night of Museums

On June 26, the Myriem Himmich Gallery in Casablanca will host a vibrant, late-night event as part of Morocco’s 4th edition of the Night of Museums and Cultural Spaces. Under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI, the gallery will present a collective exhibition titled Transitions, showcasing the works of 25 artists from Morocco and abroad—both emerging talents and established names.

This immersive exhibition is rooted in the theme of transformation, inviting visitors to engage emotionally with the concepts of movement, impermanence, and the passage between physical and spiritual dimensions. The curatorial vision centers on sensation over explanation, using the symbolic image of a hummingbird—a creature of lightness and transformation—to guide audiences through a universe of layered materials and interwoven artistic perspectives.

Set in a space that blurs boundaries between visual art, music, and gastronomy, the event offers more than just an exhibition. From 7:00 to 9:30 p.m., electronic musician Reqteq will lead a live performance, followed by one of his students, emphasizing artistic mentorship and the passing of creative knowledge. Simultaneously, renowned Chef Baya will elevate the evening with inventive culinary creations, turning the experience into a multi-sensory journey.

The exhibition will be open from 5 p.m. to midnight with free entry and no registration required. Visitors will have the chance to meet the artists and engage with their work in an atmosphere designed to provoke introspection and conversation.

Founded in 2022, the Myriem Himmich Gallery has quickly established itself as a vital platform for spiritual and experimental contemporary art in Casablanca. It supports both Moroccan and international artists whose work reflects deep introspection, philosophical inquiry, and an ambition to connect the intimate with the universal. By functioning as a cultural bridge between Morocco and the international art world, the gallery promotes artistic dialogue and diplomacy, using each exhibition as a catalyst for reflection and exchange.
