Air Europa relaunches Madrid-Marrakech flights amid tourism boom

Travelers heading between Spain and Morocco have reason to celebrate: Air Europa is resuming its direct flights between Madrid and Marrakech. Starting this weekend and running through the end of October, the airline will operate two weekly flights connecting Madrid-Barajas Airport with Marrakech-Menara. In total, more than 20,000 seats will be available throughout the summer season.

The route will be served by Boeing 737 aircraft, well-suited for short to medium-haul flights. According to the airline, passengers can expect a high level of onboard comfort, with additional capacity to accommodate rising demand for this popular destination.

This move is part of Air Europa’s broader summer 2025 schedule, which places a strong emphasis on North Africa. The airline has allocated over 40,000 seats to the region for the season, with Marrakech alone accounting for half of that figure. It’s a strategic bet on the renewed appeal of Morocco as a key travel destination and a clear signal of the airline’s intent to deepen ties between Southern Europe and North Africa.

The decision to relaunch flights to Marrakech comes at a time when the city is experiencing a strong tourism rebound. Often hailed as Morocco’s crown jewel, Marrakech continues to draw visitors from across Europe and beyond, thanks to its rich cultural heritage, warm hospitality, and sunny climate.
