Air Nostrum, the regional Spanish airline affiliated with the Iberia group, has announced expanded service between Malaga and two major Moroccan cities—Tangier and Casablanca—for the summer 2025 travel season. The move aims to meet rising demand and strengthen connectivity between Spain and Morocco during the peak holiday period.
The Malaga–Tangier route, currently operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays, will continue on that schedule through June 28. After a brief pause, service will resume from September 2 to 30 with the same frequency. However, during the busiest travel window—July 1 to 18—the airline will add a third weekly flight on Wednesdays. Then, from July 19 through August 31, the route will be served five times a week. Over the course of the summer, Air Nostrum will offer 8,208 seats on this connection.
Meanwhile, a new direct route between Malaga and Casablanca will run from July 19 to August 30, featuring three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This short-term service will provide 1,900 seats in total and marks an important seasonal addition to the carrier’s North African offerings.
Both routes will operate under a codeshare agreement with Royal Air Maroc, reflecting the broader strategic partnership between the two airlines to enhance bilateral air links between Spain and Morocco.
Founded in 1994, Air Nostrum is Spain’s leading regional airline. Its fleet of 46 aircraft serves 59 destinations across nine countries in Europe and North Africa, reinforcing its role as a key connector in the Mediterranean aviation landscape.
