Airports: ONDA launches bold new identity with eyes on 2030

Morocco’s national airport authority is undergoing a dramatic overhaul. As part of its ambitious “Airports 2030” initiative, the Office is redefining itself—not just in strategy, but in appearance. The first sign of this transformation is a sleek new visual identity designed to reflect a broader shift in direction aligned with Morocco’s long-term development goals.

With major global events on the horizon—namely the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025 and the FIFA World Cup five years later—the agency is stepping up its game. The goal is clear: to establish itself as a regional leader in airport operations, matching or exceeding international benchmarks. Central to this repositioning is a new logo that strikes a balance between Moroccan heritage and global ambition. Drawing on traditional Moroccan tilework and geometric design, the emblem also nods to the four cardinal points, signaling openness to the world. Clean lines, modern typography, and a color scheme blending sky blue with earthy ochre complete the new look.

This rebranding goes beyond aesthetics. It’s anchored in a clearer brand structure and a more cohesive identity. One of the most noticeable shifts is the introduction of “Airports of Morocco” as the new name for the passenger-facing brand used across the country’s airports. This new label aims to better capture the travel experience and foster a stronger connection with the public.

The revamp is built around three core pillars: rapid modernization of airport infrastructure, a bold upgrade of the customer experience to meet top global standards, and a deep internal transformation to make the organization more agile and forward-thinking. These changes are all part of a broader effort to evolve the ONDA into a high-performing institution ready to support Morocco’s rising international profile.

Starting in August, the new branding will roll out across all Moroccan airports and throughout the Office’s communication platforms. Through this evolution, the airport authority is signaling its intent to play a central role in showcasing Morocco’s growth and ambitions on the world stage.
